Matthew 24:27
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
A biblical comparison of WMSCOG claims about Christ Ahnsahnghong with prophecies about Jesus Christ, His birth, death, resurrection, ascension, and visible return.
The claim is usually tied to “new name,” “King David,” “clouds,” “from the east,” Melchizedek, and restoration of Passover.
The second coming of Jesus is described as visible, glorious, unmistakable, and universal, not as another hidden teacher requiring private interpretation.
Micah 5:2 foretold Bethlehem. Matthew 2:1 records Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
Isaiah 7:14 speaks of a virgin bearing a son called Immanuel. Matthew 1:22-23 applies this to Jesus.
Luke 1:32-33 identifies Jesus with David’s throne and an everlasting kingdom.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures.
Acts 1:11 says the same Jesus who ascended will return in the same manner.
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him.”
“Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you... let him be accursed.”
In Scripture, clouds often symbolize divine glory, judgment, and visible heavenly authority. Daniel 7:13, Matthew 24:30, Acts 1:9-11, and Revelation 1:7 do not teach a secret Korean birth or a private religious founder. They point to the exalted Son of Man returning in glory.
Revelation 3:12 speaks of Christ’s authority and glory. It does not authorize believers to replace Jesus of Nazareth with another man. Acts 4:12 says there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.
Hebrews 7 teaches that Melchizedek points to the eternal priesthood of Jesus Christ. It does not predict a later founder who becomes Christ. The whole book of Hebrews argues that Jesus is final, superior, and sufficient.
The apostles did not preach a future Korean Christ. They preached Jesus crucified, risen, ascended, reigning, and returning visibly. Any claim that another person is Christ must be rejected by the test Jesus Himself gave in Matthew 24.
